What is Coaching?

Coaching is a collaborative process that empowers individuals to uncover their own solutions. Through insightful questioning, it fosters self-awareness, providing the clarity and confidence needed to build skills, find motivation, and take meaningful steps forward.

Coaching can support leaders in a wide variety of situations. Here are just a few examples:

  • New to Role : Whether you are new to leadership or transitioning to an executive position,  coaching helps you quickly build confidence, navigate new challenges, and set a clear vision for your leadership. I  partner with individuals to blend coaching and mentoring for every layer of school leadership.

  • Developing Leadership Skills:  Coaching equips you with tools and strategies to strengthen your impact. Pair with the My Delta Head, Heart and Habits Leadership Audit to build self awareness and focus your efforts where it really matters.

  • Developing Your Team: Whether you are building a new team, managing difficulties within an existing team or wanting to take your team to the next level, I can coach your through the issues to build your confidence in team leadership. Through relational leadership approaches you will see the ripple effect of your growth positively impact yourself and those you lead.

  • Balancing Home and Work Challenges: For leaders juggling responsibilities, coaching provides strategies to manage stress, improve wellbeing, and create harmony between personal and professional life. I help leaders understand what is important to them, set boundaries and take control for the short and long term.

  • Navigating Key Challenges:  Sometimes life throws a curve ball. Unpacking complex situations, processing intense emotions, reviewing events from different vantage points and considering how to move forward is something coaching can help with. Accessing between 4 to 6 one hour coaching sessions can create a fundamental shift in thinking at a time when it is most needed.

  • Half Termly Coaching: Regular half-termly or termly coaching provides invaluable ongoing support for headteachers and executive leaders. These sessions offer a reflective space to process key issues, think through complex matters, and recharge mentally. A confidential, non-judgmental space with someone who understands the education context can be vital for your well-being.
